Christmas Break

Christmas break starts this Friday. This post is about what I will do this Christmas Break. This year my family and I will take our annual trip to Mexico. Every year we go to Mexico to spend Christmas. Almost every day before Christmas we do posadas. Our friends and our family come to our little house and start praying. On Christmas Eve at 12AM the kids get on the floor and put a baby Jesus on a blanket. Then by morning my relatives come back to show off what they got for Christmas. But I ususally don't get stuff like that because I don't believe in Santa Claus. But I would still get some money, at least, from my parents. So that's basically what I will be doing this year during my Christmas Break. On January 5th that's the day we will go back to school.

Tech Class

I am feeling great in Technology class because I get to type in my game ideas on the computer. I have learned a lot of new important facts about my topic. For example, the majority of gang members are teenagers. I have struggled mostly with answers to my questions. I do research my questions on the internet, but I don't get any answers. I want my teacher to encourage us more to focus so that we can get on task. What I would like to see change her is working a little more with movie clips because they were really fun. Lastly, my ideas that we should do here are to blog more. I want that because blogging is cool so that everyone can see it.

Toros Game

So yesterday we went on a field trip to see the Toros game. We got on the the bus at school, and we got to the Austin Convention Center. We went into the basketball court and the game started. We saw the cheerleaders, we hanged out with the bull, and plus we got to see the players. After that all of us who had money go to go to buy some snacks. I bought some popcorn for me and my friend. Even though I didn't pay attention to the game I was very entertained by the bull and the cheerleaders. It was the best field trip we had in 6th grade. But at the beginning of the game the Toros were winning and through most of the 2nd period. All the boys' favorite part without a doubt was the cheerleaders. We would get off the stands with the cheerleaders to take a picture with them, we also took a picture with the mascot. Also during most of the game they would play some music. Also when the Toros were defending the announcer would ask us to chant "DEFENSE, DEFENCE". Unfortunately, at the end of the game the Toros lost to the Vipers 88-97. So even though the Toros lost it was worth going to that game.

Globaloria This Week

Yesterday on 11-23-09 we were visited during our technology class. They taught us how to develop our game ideas and how to put math in it. When she came we started to take a look at the agenda. It said that a few students were going to present their game ideas. First me and Ricky had to present our game idea. It was okay and then Ms. Rachel got on the computer to help us on how to make it a little better. She also told us how to put math in it. After that I started to get so excited about my game. Now that Ms.Rachel made it a little better it's going to be awesome. Also if my game could be the best one it will be awesome if I get to go to D.C. Ms.Rachel really made it better I could win that trip. Globaloria is awesome because of the games we will create and now that all of us have our game ideas we will be so anxious to create those. We haven't started to learn yet how we will create them. But I just know that when we do we will be to over-excited to create our game. Then when people start playing it online it will be even better. Also yesterday Ms.Rachel then planned another game about teenage pregnancies. We chose teenage pregnancies because it's a big problem in our community. That is going to be our topic. We also chose it because we think it will really help us for our community meeting class. Yesterday was a great day in Globaloria and I loved presenting my game. I can't wait till' I make it and put it on the internet.

Thanksgiving Day

I don't celebrate Thanksgiving Day. All I will do is watch the Mexican Soccer League playoffs. This Saturday Monterrey will play America, and Puebla will play Cruz Azul. On Sunday San Luis will play Toluca, and Santos will play Morelia. On the next Saturday Cruz Azul will play Puebla, but this time Cruz Azul will play at home. Those are going to be the quarter-finals. The team I really want to be champion is Santos, the team I least want to be champion is America. Even though my most favorite team is Chivas and they're not in the playoffs I'm still going to watch it. Here is a vision I have of the future.

Technology So Far

So far in tech class we've been learning about action scripting. We saw a video that teaced us how to add animation on flash. I hope that will really help us when we create our games. I'm really looking forward to create my game, I can't wait. But I'm worried that I'm not going to know how to make the game. On my research of ActionScript, I read that ActionScript is used primarily for the developement of websites and softwares. Like if you have your own website or software, and then you want to develop it, like make it better, you can go to ActionScript and edit it. That is what it says in my research in ActionScript is. And if you want to see my research click here. I think of ActionScript being fun. It's cool how to develop softwares on ActionScript. It's like you actually have control of that software. If it's fun to use ActionScript by just practicing, I just can't wait until we use it for real. When we create our games it's gonna be awesome! And when we do create them they come out on tv, and everyone can see it world wide! I hope I can create the best game so that I can go to Washington D.C.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Technology Class

I feel great here technology class. I'm glad that post anything on our blogs and everyone can see it, and by everyone I mean EVERYONE as in anybody in the world. I learned how to add a picture, a video, and a hyperlink. That's so cool. I can't even wait until we start creating our games. I can't find anything pressuring with this class. This is the easiest and best class ever! I wish I didn't have to go to any of the other classes and just stay here in tech for the whole day. I also like how we get 15 minutes of free time and sometimes we might even have more. But although sometimes I hate when our free time is over and we start working on our wiki. But my top 3 favorite things in technology are free time, create games, and blog. It's just too bad that we only stay here for 1 hour and a half. If only we could just stay here for the rest of the day. I don't care if I would have to skip the other classes I just want to stay here. Technology without a doubt is the BEST CLASS EVER!

Video Game Genres - Sports

One of the best selling game genre in the world is sports games. That includes like the FIFA series, NBA Live series, Madden Football series, the NASCAR series, and the Tiger Woods series, etc.
That is why I have chosen the sports genres they are my favorite type of game genres. I have learned that the FIFA series is the best selling game in the world, that's pretty obvious since soccer is the most popular sport in the world.

Zeit Geist

Zeit Geist is a really cool action game. It's about a soldier in the army who is the most trusted soldier. When the enemy has a big plot going on, the army's leader sends their Eryn to defeat him. First you must go to either Ancient Greece or Ancient Egypt to defeat the evil one. First to get there you must answer questions about wherever your going. If you get them right they know you know what your doing. If you get them wrong they don't trust you so they don't send you to your destination because something will go wrong, but you can try again and again. I think that the creator of the game was trying to teach us about ancient times.I don't think there is anything wrong with it, I think the creator did a pretty good job with this game. It's actually one of my favorite games in the Social Issues games. I like action games where you can like shoot bad people and all that stuff and that is why I really like this game. It's also a little hard, and it takes time to probably finish the first level, and so I haven't gotten that far. I really wonder what happens afterwards and what happens to the bad guys and what happens to the soldier.

Super Toaster

The game Super Toaster is a game where they tell you information of how to save the enviroment. It also asks you questions of what is the best thing to do. For example, if you were to go to the movies with a few friends what is the best way to get there and it will give you 3 different answers and you have to pick the correct one. I think that what the creator was trying to say is to encourage us to stop global warming and save the planet.

Michael Jackson

I put the video of Michael Jackson because he is one of my favorite artist.His music is awesome.His song Thriller is my favorite song of his.It's obvious that he is known as "The King of Pop", he is very popular and his music will never die with him.We shall never forget "The King of Pop" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Learning Technology

Mrs. Miller I'm glad we already have our blogs. I like how we can put pictures on our blog so that everybody can see it. I'm looking forward to adding videos. I cant wait until it gets better. It's going to be pretty cool I know it.

Technology Class

Here in techonolgy class I am looking forward to to create my own games. I hope everyone will like my game. I want to combine my game with soccer and math. I think tech class is the best class in this school. I can't wait to create my game.
