Winding Down

Our team name is J-Force and our game title is Critical Condtion: A Livin' Atomic Bomb and it's about dealing with three different social issues, oil spills, erosion, and factories. We have completed all scenes of the game and have put them all together to work on the animations. Our Wiki Updater has finished answering the questions about our game on our team page. We are done with the game now and we hope it turns out a success. I think our team has done a great job and we got a lot done and I'm sure we can get an A. This year I learned how to use animations, something we didn't do last year, I also learned about the problems in this world and why we worry so much about them. I am proud that Globaloria has teached us how to work in Flash instead of just doing boring stuff like in other middle schools. I hope next year I can learn how to make our game not so boring and more challenging because it was very hard for all of us in J-Force to program the game well.

icivics.org This website teaches kids about civics because many kids don't know anything about this and it's very important. To get kids into civics they have very fun games that kids love so that they get interested into civics I liked this one game where you had to spread the awareness of stopping bullying

Yesterday Nintendo launched the new Nintendo 3DS here in North America. It looks pretty much like any other Nintendo DS but what's so special is that it now comes with 3D images with no special glasses needed. The Nintendo 3DS also has a built-in 3D Depth Slider which allows you to adjust the intensity of the 3d settings to your likings. If you don't want 3D you can just turn it off. It also includes a Motion Sensor and Gyron Sensor which makes the Nintendo 3DS to respond to the motion of the player, whether the player's twisting it or jumping up and down. It also has other things such as, an analog control, a 3D camera, an Adjustable Stylus and other things too. According to the Nintendo website it is close to around $250.

When I finish my game in this class I would do the same thing as Mike Tyson. How else could I get it to be popular, who would buy it? I should try to sell it because I'll make good money and I'm able to get the word out to stop Water Pollution. I wouldn't attach a celebrity to my game because it's about Social Issues and celebrities don't care about that, just money.

Disaster in Japan

I'm glad that these students are doing something to help out in Japan. This is a good way to learn how to not be selfish and help others when they need it. I wish that we could do the same thing. Everywhere I hear that you should donate to the American Red Cross and all of this stuff, I see images of destroyed houses and it makes me feel guilty that I'm not helping out. But it's not all my fault, I don't have any money so there's pretty much nothing I can do, if there was I'd do it. Well, at least thery're getting something and the United States is also doing good by doing everything they can to help out. I'm thinking that we should do the same thing we did last year with Haiti and now raise money from Japan. And just so you can donate to Japan I'm going to show this image of this huge devastation.

PlayStation Portable: Next Generation Portable

The new PSP looks way better. I would love to buy one. I have go to admit that the PSP NGP is even better than the PSP Go. The NGP is now a touch screen, it has a pad on the back which is to make motion, it has internet 3G, GPS, and a camera and many other new characteristics. I see that it does more things than the regular PSP and I would totally buy one. Can anyone loan me $300?

Mad Hot Ballroom
Teamwork is when you have more than one person in a group and they connect their ideas to make something useful, because there is no mind that is greater than all of them together.

This documentary takes place in New York City in the year, 1994. It's aout a ballroom dance program for 5th graders. Now 6,000 kids in New York City are required to take this 10-week course. The schools that they focus on are P.S. 112, P.S. 150, and P.S. 115.
How do you see these students trying to work together?

They dance with each other to help each other out for people who probably don't know how to dance.
How important was teamwork for these students?
It's very important for them because they know that they need to work well as a team in order to succeed.

I liked the game called Jet Ski Addition. The game play is to play online and race against other people who are online. The way to beat them is by answering the questions right and that's how you accelerate. I think the goal of this game is to teach kids math and the could get better at it.

The Wizard

At the beginning of the movie, Jimmy is walking down the highway. Where is he going?
He is going to "California".

What is the problem that the little boy, Jimmy, has?
He is heavily traumatized, and very shy.

Jimmy likes to stack and build things. How does this relate to video games?
The blocks he plays with look like in video games, with a lot of walls, and 2 dimensional.

Playing video games seems to help Jimmy feel better. Why do you think this is?
He is very sad because his sister is done, I guess that playing video games helps forget about it.

What makes him such an awesome video game player?
He doesn't pay attention to anybody so he doesn't get distracted.

What kinds of games do you see being played? Have you ever played any games like this before? He is playing Street Fighter, Double Dragon, Ninja Gideon, Mario II, F1 Dream, Rad Racer, Rampage, Mr. Chaos, Super Mario Bros. 3

How many different game systems do you see in the film?
Arcade, Nintendo OES

What did you think about the Power Glove?
I really like the Power Glove because whatever you do the character does.

This game is unbelievable! I can't believe Technology has advanced in such a little bit of time! It looks awesome and I really want to play it. I think it could be a good idea to put it in our game but I can never find out how. The reason why I think it's cool is because there's no buttons and now directions the only tool you have is your brain/imagination.

Google Science Fair!!
I think it's a good idea that Google hosts a science fair so that the world could get more useful inventions. An invention is not going to fall out of the sky you need someone to plan it and introduce it to the world. I don't se myself entering this contest because I can never think of anything and even if I did I don't think I would know how. If I could I would want to invent either a flying car or a car that drives itself but it turns out that people are working on those. And as I said I can't really think of anything that's why I don't think I enter it. I'm just happy that Google organized this science fair and I can't wait to see what the people come up with but I just hope its useful.
